Punk and beyond

The early part of the 1980’s was a great time to be in a band in Wellington, New Zealand. The UK punk scene had influenced a lot of musicians and lead to an explosion of local bands. It didn’t matter whether you were good at playing your instrument or not people would come and listen to you. Here I have put together biographies of the bands that I was involved with. I have also included some memories/stories I have of that time. Some of the dates are a little ‘sketchy’ as I didn’t keep a very good record at the time – having too much fun I guess.

If you have any memories/stories of that time and would like to share them please feel free to send them to me.

I have used my own photographs in this section of the website and I ask that you respect the fact that these shouldn’t be copied or reused without asking permission.

Bands in this section of the site: Condemned Sector, Neoteric Tribesmen, Flesh D-Vice, The Resurrectionists, Danse with a Stranger, Spader Non, GaGa
